Colour & Light forms part of our intensive core program.
The subject explores the principles that give objects form. Classes progress from the study of light on individual objects, to the interaction of light between objects. The subject analyses zones of light and shadow, the five types of light, and real-world environmental conditions. The course places a strong emphasis on rendering techniques with pencils, markers, and gouache in order to effectively communicate lit surfaces.

INSTRUCTOR: Wayne Haag
PROFILE: Wayne received his BA in Photography at RMIT, and began his career as a Matte Painter on The Fifth Element at Digital Domain. He has created matte paintings for many productions, including the Farscape television series, and the first two Lord of the Rings films. He has created concept art for The Wolverine, Maze Runner, and Alien: Covenant.
