Visual Storytelling for Films and Comics is an eight-week short course.
The course studies the ways in which visual narratives successfully communicate stories. Students will analyse the placement of cameras and the design of compositions within feature films and comic books. They will learn the language of each art-form in order to transform scripts into captivating scenes. Furthermore, students will hone the practical drawing skills of visual storytelling.

The course is suitable for beginners with a basic level of drawing skills.

INSTRUCTOR: Chewie Chan
PROFILE: Chewie is a Storyboard Artist and Comic Book Illustrator. He has worked on Superman Returns, Mad Max: Fury Road, and the academy award winning Happy Feet. As a comic book artist, he has drawn Iron Man, The Phantom, Justice League: Mortal, Buckaroo Banzai, and Cthulhu Tales.
