PAD is pleased to present a new series of ongoing meet-ups, commencing in 2019! These meet-ups are called Open Workshops.

Our next Open Workshop will be held on Thursday the 5th of December, 2019!

Our awesome two-hour events will teach you solid illustration skills in an inspiring environment with fellow artists! Each workshop focuses on a theme, and hosts a model.

The theme of our second Open Workshop for 2019 is: Archers of the Medieval Period. The evening will feature a professional re-enactor, dressed in armour based upon the Viking uniforms of the Scandinavian and Baltic people within the early Medieval period. One of our outstanding instructors will help you to draw the figure, with live demonstrations and feedback!

The workshop will be followed by an opportunity to network with artists from the film and television industry, who will share their advice on how to become a commercial illustrator in Australia. The workshops also double as “open day” events, so that you can find out more about our exceptional programs at PAD.

We will be serving light snacks and drinks during the evening.

Please RSVP because places are limited.

These workshops attract a $4 entry charge, so that we can cover the costs of the session.

• What to bring
Please bring with you an A4 or A3 sketch pad and pencils.

The event will be held at Production Art Department: Level 1, 5-13 Queen Street, Chippendale. PAD is only a short 6-7 minute walk from Central Station.
